I greatly enjoyed the lovely hotel.
Booked a room with lovely views, and the staff were affable and helpful people at the reception desk. A balcony and a lounge area were good. The property's location was fantastic and good, close to the station. Plus, it was near a mini market, more attractions & the 7 public baths and a river running along the middle...

We loved our stay at Mikuniya in Toyooka. The individual yukata selection was fun, private baths were relaxing, and dinner in our private room was a great experience. The variety of dishes was delicious, and the access to the town's public onsens was a bonus. The spacious and traditional room, along with the comfortable futon, added to the authentic experience.
For us, it was ideal.

What a great experience we had at this luxurious traditional hotel during our Xmas stay! First, its proximity to the train station and the public bathhouses made it super easy to get around and enjoy the onsen. Second, the food was beyond amazing, with a huge variety of dishes to choose from, including delicious beef shabu-shabu and fresh crab. Plus, the staff was extremely friendly, accommodating and speaks great English, which made our stay even more special. Lastly, the rooms were spacious, cozy and beautifully furnished, providing a truly authentic Japanese experience.
That our room didn't have any view, but to be honest, we were so busy enjoying all the hotel's features and exploring Kinosaki that it didn't really matter. we had an unforgettable holiday at this hotel and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect combination of cultural immersion, relaxation, and delicious food.

The innkeepers and staff were friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome and comfortable. The location was convenient, just a short walk from the train station and the public onsens in Kinosaki. I highly recommend this ryokan for a truly relaxing experience.

the room was spacious and comfortable. the hotel was located in a beautiful area, which made it a perfect destination for relaxation and enjoying the hot springs.
The room seemed a bit worn out and there was no electric kettle as promised. it was noisy due to young Japanese customers staying at the hotel.

This ryokan is conveniently close to all the town's attractions - down the boulevards but also very close to the train station. the staff was friendly and welcoming. the traditional Japanese breakfast was absolutely wonderful and the rooms are spacious and quiet. the cozy onsen is a great place to relax after a long day of exploring.
The bathrooms could use an update, but they are still well-maintained and clean.

I chose Mikuniya for its location near the Kinosaki Onsen district, as I wanted to explore the Kinosaki Onsen Ropeway and Hachigoro's Tojima Wetland. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of facilities and services offered by Mikuniya Ryokan. The massage/treatment rooms, laundry facilities, and computer station were all great additions to my stay. Furthermore, I really enjoyed the fact that guests must check in to eat dinner at the property, adding to the traditional experience.
No in-room bathroom, but private toilets were available.

The location of this hotel was superb - an easy 3-4 minute walk from the railway station and within 5-10 minutes walk of most of the onsens. It was very central and conveniently situated on the main street. The staff at this hotel were very friendly and provided attentive service throughout our stay. They spoke good English and were always willing to help with any requests or questions we had. The rooms at this hotel were spacious and comfortable, with traditional Japanese decor. They had modern amenities such as a fridge stocked with soft drinks and beer, as well as central heating. The hotel also provided an earthquake-ready flashlight, which added to our peace of mind.
There was a slight issue with noise in the rooms, as they shook a bit when trucks drove past. However, this was not a major problem and did not disrupt our sleep.
